Araz Safarli was born on August 10, 1983, in Nakhchivan city.

In 2004, he graduated from Azərbaycan Dövlət İqtisad Universiteti with a degree in Business Administration.

He began his professional career in 2005 at Smart System Technology MMC as an operations programmer (2005–2007).

In 2007, he transitioned into the banking sector. In the same year, he joined Bank of Baku ASC, where he held various managerial positions until 2012.

From 2013 to 2025, he worked at Unibank ASC. Between 2019 and 2025, he served as Director of the Retail Business Development Department.

With over 17 years of experience in the banking sector, he specializes in business development and retail banking products. He also possesses substantial expertise in digital transformation.

On March 3, 2025, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Prior Leasing ASC.
